Wellness at an "art" school

Images of massage, Reiki, and meditation aren’t usually intertwined.

However, I could not imagine a more ideal setting for any wellness, healing arts, or healthcare practitioner than the Greensboro School of Creativity. At the core of the school are four essential elements:

A Healing Circle - 6-7 pm, last Friday each month

Suffering is all around us. Look right, look left, look at your family, your friends, your neighbors. It could manifest as pain, isolation, separateness, despair, anxiety, panic, and the list could go on and on. Now, look at yourself. This healing circle is a gathering open to all beings with the express purpose of working on our own healing process. This starts by opening to the endless reserve of universal energy or God-stuff readily available to all of us.

"Change of Season" Opens at Greensboro School of Creativity Gallery Friday, Nov. 4 - Reception 5-8 pm

Original painting by Chip Bristol is a part of the "Change of Season" exhibit."Change of Season" brings together the works of local artists including Alice Bachman, Ginny Bissell, Perry Boswell, Chip Bristol, Paul Nixon, and Phyllis Sharpe. Their exhibit opens in the GSC Gallery Friday, November 4 with an opening reception from 5-8 pm. Artists will also be in The Gallery from 2-4 pm Sunday, November 6. Visitors are also welcome to visit from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday until the exhibit closes on Nov. 26.

Each artist brings forth different media and his or her own special style of work. Alice Bachman focuses on acrylics, watercolors, oil and cold wax encaustics; Ginny Bissell brings fiber art to The Gallery. Perry Boswell has a unique eye for
