Click for Larger ImageThe Showcase, an open mic night for songwriters, will take place on Friday, February 24 from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. at The Creative Center.
The Creative Center (formerly known as The Greensboro School of Creativity) will host this monthly event for singers/songwriters in the community to perform their original music as a soloist, in a duo or trio. performers are asked to sign up between 7:00-8:00 p.m. for ten minute time slots.
The evening will include a special half-hour long performance by featured songwriter Mike Garrigan, and light refreshments will be available for purchase.
This event is FREE to the public. Donations are welcome.

Hey, It's Larry. I'm wondering if you would please start updating this page with current information, as this is a great Showcase. The next one is on Friday, August 17th. Sign up is at 7:30 p.m.; Showcase starts at 8.

Hi Larry - Thanks for taking the time to post your comment. Sadly this one slipped through the cracks and we didn't see it earlier.
This particular page is a blog post announcing the February event, and since we don't remove any of our blog posts, it will always appear. However you should always be able to find the most recently-posted announcement for the Showcase events not only under the 'open mic night' category, when there's a blog post added to "Currents", but also on the event's main page of our website.
